  Tom Hanks is one of few actors to receive the honor of getting a Time Magazine cover this week. In his interview, he talks about his upcoming projects, including the HBO World War II miniseries, The Pacific and a TV project about the JFK Assassination, which he claims is one of “the most controversial things that has ever been on TV.” Wow!! We are definitely intrigued. Here are some highlights from the interview: On growing up around the military: “Growing up I always knew Dad was in the Pacific somewhere fixing things. He had nothing nice to say about the Navy. He hated the Navy. He hated everybody in the Navy. He had no glory stories about it. My idea of history was just a course you had to take. Strange to think I’ve become the World War II guy. We all lived in naval housing and everybody who was like a primary care giver to me talked about The War. But when it came to understanding the history, I nodded off.” On the correlations between WWII and today: “From the outset we wanted to make people wonder how our troops can reenter society in the first place. How could they just pick up their lives and get on with the rest of us. Back in World War II we viewed the Japanese as ‘yellow slant-eyed dogs’ that believed in different Gods. They were out to kill us because our way of living was different. Does that soud familiar by any chance to what’s going on today? At least the Pacific War Soldiers coming back form WWII decompressed on ships for weeks. And then once the troops arrived portside it was often a long train ride home to Peoria. Today these guys in Afghanistan fight in bloody hell and then are flown back in 18 hours. How can they cope with that? How can they suddenly go from Tora Bora to Peyton Place?” On his JFK Assassination Project: “We’re going to do the American public a service. A lot of conspiracy types are going to be upset. If we do it right it’ll perhaps be one of the most controversial things that has ever been on TV.”

  Kendra Wilkinson is opening up about being a mom and the major challenge that came with it - depression. The Girls Next Door star admitted that shortly after giving birth to her first son with husband Hank Baskett , she became completely depressed. She confessed: “I never brushed my hair, my teeth or took a shower. I looked in the mirror one day and was totally depressed … A couple of times, I even said, ‘I just have nothing to live for. “It was new to me — the snow and the cold. I love running and hiking. I had a hard time being trapped inside. I’d look outside and think how much I wished I could go to the beach again.” But Kendra confesses that the time is behind her now and with both her boys by her side, along with the rest of her family, she was able to make it through the bad times. Great job Kendra… Most women have a heard time getting over the baby blues.

  In an attempt to appear like a genuine artist, Ke$ha decided to run her mouth off and attack Britney Spears for not singing live at her concerts. She says it’s bull crap for any artist to call themselves as such and not vocally perform live and considers Britney’s excuses for keeping close to the track completely unfair. Ke$ha says: “I don’t think that’s fair at all for people who are going to see the show. I think if you are going to be a singer, you should sing. If you are going to be a dancer, you should dance. If you are going to do a combination of the two, you should make it very clear when you are singing and very clear when you are dancing. I would never do that to my fans. No offense to her specifically but people have asked me before to mime. I have been up at three in the morning for a television show with jet lag but I refuse to mime. It’s treating people as if they are too stupid to realize you are not actually singing. Sometimes it is hard to sing and dance at the same time but I would rather be off and be real and genuine about it to my fans. I don’t want to treat my fans like they are stupid.” Not a wise choice, Ms. Kesha. You don’t mess with pop royalty.

  Cleveland Cavaliers baller Lebron James has filed paperwork with the NBA to change his uniform number from 23 to 6. King James will probably say the switch is to distance himself from Michael Jordan, which is understandable. However, the change will no doubt send Lebron fans into widespread panic, causing them to buy anything and everything with his old and new number on it. Bottom line, the NBA is going to be make TONS of money off of this.

  BBC presenter Kristian Digby was found dead at the age of 32 in his East London apartment on Monday. The cause of death is said to be the result of auto-erotic asphyxiation, the act of cutting off oxygen to the brain for sexual arousal. Authorities are classifying his death as “unexplained” since detectives do not think it was suicide. Kristian was pronounced dead at the scene. Here’s what Kristian’s agent, Jo wander had to say: “I am devastated by the loss. He was a lovely guy and a very talented presenter,” Here’s what BBC had to say concerning Kristian’s death: “Kristian was a much-loved and talented presenter. He brought a real sense of energy and warmth to all the shows. Our thoughts are with his family.” Digby started hosting To Buy Or Not To Buy in 2003 and moved on to present Holiday , Living In The Sun and That Gay Show . That must be one awesome way to die. Nevertheless it is still very sad.

Ozzy Osbourne was given the key to the city of West Palm Beach , Florida earlier today (Friday, February 26) by Mayor Lois Frankel , who even noted in her remarks that she was a big fan of “The Osbournes”, the VH1 reality show which introduced the world to his wife Sharon and his kids Jack and Kelly. Osbourne accepted the key and made a few quick remarks of his own, including one about seeing if Ozzfest — which was bumped down from a tour to a single-date show in Dallas in 2008, and then canceled in 2009 — could return to Palm Beach County this year. Hundreds cheered and chanted “Ozzy! Ozzy! Ozzy!” as the rocker retreated to his SUV and took advantage of a Florida Highway Patrol escort to his next stop, the Barnes & Noble Booksellers at Legacy Place in Palm Beach Gardens, where he would sign copies of his new autobiography, “I Am Ozzy”.

  Lindsay Lohan’s proud papa Michael Lohan is commending his daughter for coming clean about her alcohol and cocaine abuse, but denies that Lindsay hit rock bottom when he started to go public with the media and stands by his claims that her real issue at the moment is prescription drug addiction. Here’s what Micheal had to say: “While I’m very happy that Lindsay is beginning to come ‘clean,’ the truth of the matter is I went public when she hit rock bottom. SHE DID NOT GO ROCK BOTTOM WHEN I WENT PUBLIC… “And while I find her admissions of her experiences with alcohol and cocaine to be noble, the REAL PROBLEM still exists with the prescription drug use that the so-called ‘addiction specialist’, therapist and doctors are prescribing… to Lindsay.” “Lindsay and my other children were torn apart because they lost the stability of a family…The problem for Lindsay and so many others is prescription drug use… “I will not stop (speaking out) until I finally get my daughter off of all the prescription drugs which she never needed and doesn’t need no matter how much I get bad mouthed or slandered by the people out there who aren’t so perfect themselves… I will do ALL I can to make things right, even if it costs me, or is at my own expense!” Michael still believes the messy divorce between him and Dina caused Lindsay to spiral out of control and declares he won’t shut his trap until Lindsay is back on track.

  Lindsay Lohan gave an exclusive interview to the UK’s Sun newspaper yesterday and here are some highlights: On her worst times: “When my father was going public, that’s when I hit rock bottom. I abused substances too much and it wasn’t the answer to my problems. On her coping mechanisms: “I tried to mask my problems with alcohol, cocaine, and mind-altering substances. Now I’m in a place where I don’t need to use anything and I feel emotions because I choose to. On learning lessons: “I never want to be close to losing everything I worked for and aspired to have my whole life. I’ve made some dreadful mistakes but learned from them - that has probably saved my life.” On drugs: “I was only aware of cocaine because of my dad. I was terrified of it. But I tried it because I was stubborn, stupid and wanted to see what it was like. It’s not something I ever want to do again. It made me feel like s**t. It became uninteresting to me. I’m hyper anyway and I have that kind of personality, so I don’t need something like that.” On the reason for rehab: “The first time I checked myself in because I had taken Ambien. It’s a sleeping aid but it makes you hallucinate.I’d run a bath and fallen asleep on the floor and it overflowed. When I woke up, I was so scared I called my therapist and said, ‘Can I just go somewhere for a month? I’m around bad people and I need to take care of myself.’ I was terrified, so I put my name in.” This girl is in need of some serious help.

She’s dropping $150,000 on furniture, $200,000 on artwork, $150,000 on electronics, $100,000 for a bathroom and almost $100,000 on Venetian plaster walls. WTF! Be careful Brittany. You wouldn’t want to go broke to soon.

R&B singer  Ashanti is the latest to nail the coffin shut on any chance of getting her career back by signing a deal to produce and star in her own reality TV show! Here’s what Ashanti’s mother/manager Tina Douglas says: “It’s an unscripted television show that is definitely music related. We’ll be revealing more in the coming weeks. She has her own record label, called Written Entertainment, and the show is going to revolve around her label… It’s going to be really big.” I have a strong feeling this show is going to suck just like every other celebrity reality show.

  It’s the end of an era! This year will mark the end of Barbara Walters’ annual Oscar special. She explains:     “ABC has asked me to keep doing these specials as they have been so successful — and I’m thrilled we have such great stars and have such a wonderful show — but to be honest, I feel like I’ve ‘been there, done that.’     This special has been a labor of love for 29 years.   The new version of We Are The World finally debuted on Friday during the opening ceremonies at the Olympics. And although everyone’s intentions to remake it were good, the new song has gotten some mixed reviews, with many thinking the original should have remained untouched. One of those is Jay-Z , who admitted:     “I know everybody is gonna take this wrong: ‘We Are the World,’ I love it, and I understand the point and think it’s great. But I think ‘We Are the World’ is like [Michael Jackson’s] ‘Thriller’ to me. I don’t ever wanna see it touched.     I’m a fan of music. I know the plight and everything that’s going on in Haiti. I applaud the efforts: [Millions have been raised] through text [donations] to Haiti. So I appreciate the efforts and everything, but ‘We Are The World’ is [musically] untouchable like ‘Thriller’ is untouchable. Some things are just untouchable. It was a valiant effort, but for me, it’s gonna be untouchable.”
