The video, set up like an infomercial, urges Congress to enact financial reform–and pokes fun at celebs who may not be able to afford their own nip/tuck action. Touching briefly on the longstanding rumor that she suffers from an eating disorder, Portia admits to struggling with body issues, but says it’s all in the past. “Nobody can really get inside the anorexic’s mind like the anorexic. I abused my body. I had bulimia. I would use fen-phen.” Mrs. Ellen DeGeneres also made a point to talk about her fight for marriage equality: “I think it’s up to us to save marriage, up to gay people across the country, seeing as though we’re fighting for it so vehemently. This whole thing has been a wave of excitement and hope, and then it gently falls back into despair.” “Unfortunately, we’re the ones who have to suffer this—this humiliation, really. There’s kind of a dignity that’s been stripped from us. Gay people are the ones who have to suffer through it—but without it, it won’t change.” But for de Rossi, 37, that battle is worth it. “Ever since Ellen and I got together, I feel like I’ve been given an opportunity to actually—God, this sounds corny. Well, I feel like my life can actually kind of stand for something. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt aren’t taking the rumors that they are headed for splitsville very lightly. The couple’s lawyer, Keith Schilling, announced Monday that Brangelina has taken action against Britain’s News of the World , and taken the first steps in legal proceedings against the paper for their false allegations about the pair’s relationship. “We can confirm unequivocally … that the allegations published by the News of the World are false as well as intrusive,” Schilling said in a statement. Last month the U.K. paper reported that Brad and Angelina had met with a divorce lawyer to discuss the splitting of their assests. Schilling also quoted Sorrell Trope, who was identified as the couple’s divorce lawyer, as saying, “I have had no contact from them … Angelina Jolie and/or Brad Pitt. I have never met your … clients or had any involvement with either of them.” If Sunday’s Super Bowl is any indication, Angelina and Brad are still very much on–the duo engaged in some serious PDA for the cameras.
