In his interview, he talks about his upcoming projects, including the HBO World War II miniseries, The Pacific and a TV project about the JFK Assassination, which he claims is one of “the most controversial things that has ever been on TV.” Wow!! We are definitely intrigued. Here are some highlights from the interview: On growing up around the military: “Growing up I always knew Dad was in the Pacific somewhere fixing things. He had nothing nice to say about the Navy. He hated the Navy. He hated everybody in the Navy. He had no glory stories about it. My idea of history was just a course you had to take. Strange to think I’ve become the World War II guy. We all lived in naval housing and everybody who was like a primary care giver to me talked about The War. But when it came to understanding the history, I nodded off.” On the correlations between WWII and today: “From the outset we wanted to make people wonder how our troops can reenter society in the first place. How could they just pick up their lives and get on with the rest of us. Back in World War II we viewed the Japanese as ‘yellow slant-eyed dogs’ that believed in different Gods. They were out to kill us because our way of living was different. Does that soud familiar by any chance to what’s going on today? At least the Pacific War Soldiers coming back form WWII decompressed on ships for weeks. And then once the troops arrived portside it was often a long train ride home to Peoria. Today these guys in Afghanistan fight in bloody hell and then are flown back in 18 hours. How can they cope with that? How can they suddenly go from Tora Bora to Peyton Place?” On his JFK Assassination Project: “We’re going to do the American public a service. A lot of conspiracy types are going to be upset. If we do it right it’ll perhaps be one of the most controversial things that has ever been on TV.”

  Kendra Wilkinson is opening up about being a mom and the major challenge that came with it - depression. The Girls Next Door star admitted that shortly after giving birth to her first son with husband Hank Baskett , she became completely depressed. She confessed: “I never brushed my hair, my teeth or took a shower. I looked in the mirror one day and was totally depressed … A couple of times, I even said, ‘I just have nothing to live for. “It was new to me — the snow and the cold. I love running and hiking. I had a hard time being trapped inside. I’d look outside and think how much I wished I could go to the beach again.” But Kendra confesses that the time is behind her now and with both her boys by her side, along with the rest of her family, she was able to make it through the bad times. She says it’s bull crap for any artist to call themselves as such and not vocally perform live and considers Britney’s excuses for keeping close to the track completely unfair. Ke$ha says: “I don’t think that’s fair at all for people who are going to see the show. I think if you are going to be a singer, you should sing. If you are going to be a dancer, you should dance. If you are going to do a combination of the two, you should make it very clear when you are singing and very clear when you are dancing. I would never do that to my fans. No offense to her specifically but people have asked me before to mime. I have been up at three in the morning for a television show with jet lag but I refuse to mime. It’s treating people as if they are too stupid to realize you are not actually singing. Sometimes it is hard to sing and dance at the same time but I would rather be off and be real and genuine about it to my fans. I don’t want to treat my fans like they are stupid.” Not a wise choice, Ms. Kesha. You don’t mess with pop royalty.

  Sir Paul McCartney will be performing his first ever solo stadium tour in the UK this summer. The Beatles legend Paul McCartney, 67, will also be headlining Hard Rock Calling , and then the Isle of Wight music festival with Jay-Z and The Strokes . A source says: “It is really amazing for a man of his age to embark on such a grueling, massive tour. Put simply, these will be his biggest ever shows in Britain. So, really, it just shows what great shape he is in.” Here’s what Paul had to say: “It’s always brilliant to play for the home crowd and these dates are the ones that me and the band are really excited about. This will be my first show on the Isle of Wight and I’m looking forward to a rollicking night of rock ‘n’ roll. I always remember hearing such great things about this festival and it has such a sense of history with the likes of Jimi Hendrix playing there the first time round.” This dude really needs to give it up. His time has already passed.

  Cleveland Cavaliers baller Lebron James has filed paperwork with the NBA to change his uniform number from 23 to 6. King James will probably say the switch is to distance himself from Michael Jordan, which is understandable. However, the change will no doubt send Lebron fans into widespread panic, causing them to buy anything and everything with his old and new number on it. Bottom line, the NBA is going to be make TONS of money off of this.

  Rihanna was recently asked if she would ever do a collaboration with Lady GaGa. Here’s what she had to say: “A collaboration between GaGa and myself would be really cool because we do a similar type of music and we both really love fashion, so I’m sure it’ll be a hot video. I would love to collaborate with her.” Rihanna also said she would like to do a duet with cutie pie Taylor Swift, but we think it would probably take a little more of the safe route than with Lady GaGa.

SHE DID NOT GO ROCK BOTTOM WHEN I WENT PUBLIC… “And while I find her admissions of her experiences with alcohol and cocaine to be noble, the REAL PROBLEM still exists with the prescription drug use that the so-called ‘addiction specialist’, therapist and doctors are prescribing… to Lindsay.” “Lindsay and my other children were torn apart because they lost the stability of a family…The problem for Lindsay and so many others is prescription drug use… “I will not stop (speaking out) until I finally get my daughter off of all the prescription drugs which she never needed and doesn’t need no matter how much I get bad mouthed or slandered by the people out there who aren’t so perfect themselves… I will do ALL I can to make things right, even if it costs me, or is at my own expense!” Michael still believes the messy divorce between him and Dina caused Lindsay to spiral out of control and declares he won’t shut his trap until Lindsay is back on track.

  The Abbey Road Studios building in London where the Beatles recorded most of their albums was officially named a historic building today by English Heritage after the organization appealed to the government to do so.   The statement by English Heritage chief executive Simon Thurley states that the building: “…Acts as a modern day monument to the history of recorded sound and music. Some of the most defining sounds of the 20th century were created within the walls of the Abbey Road Studios. It contains, quite simply, the most famous recording studios in the world.”

  Lindsay Lohan gave an exclusive interview to the UK’s Sun newspaper yesterday and here are some highlights: On her worst times: “When my father was going public, that’s when I hit rock bottom. I abused substances too much and it wasn’t the answer to my problems. On her coping mechanisms: “I tried to mask my problems with alcohol, cocaine, and mind-altering substances. Now I’m in a place where I don’t need to use anything and I feel emotions because I choose to. On learning lessons: “I never want to be close to losing everything I worked for and aspired to have my whole life. I’ve made some dreadful mistakes but learned from them - that has probably saved my life.” On drugs: “I was only aware of cocaine because of my dad. I was terrified of it. But I tried it because I was stubborn, stupid and wanted to see what it was like. It’s not something I ever want to do again. It made me feel like s**t. It became uninteresting to me. I’m hyper anyway and I have that kind of personality, so I don’t need something like that.” On the reason for rehab: “The first time I checked myself in because I had taken Ambien. It’s a sleeping aid but it makes you hallucinate.I’d run a bath and fallen asleep on the floor and it overflowed. When I woke up, I was so scared I called my therapist and said, ‘Can I just go somewhere for a month? I’m around bad people and I need to take care of myself.’ I was terrified, so I put my name in.” This girl is in need of some serious help.

  Johnny Depp recently revealed that his two kids Lily-Rose and Jack love their dad’s iconic title role in Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands. He says: “It’s funny because they’ve seen it but they have a difficult time watching it because it’s their dad and they make that connection, but its Edward Scissorhands. That’s by far my kids’ favorite. They just connect with the character and also they see something, their dad feeling that isolation, feeling that loneliness. He’s a tragic character and so I think it’s hard for them. They bawl when they see that movie.”
