Gary, Indiana has announced plans to build a theme park attraction in the vein of  Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch in his hometown in homage to the pop legend. The park will include a golf course, museum, 300-room hotel, a performing arts center, and roller coaster “Thriller” ride. Odie Anderson, the theme park’s operations agent said: “We will begin construction of the facilities this year. We have set aside a specific date, tied to a special Jackson event, for the ground breaking.”

While accepting her award for the artist of the year, live via satellite from backstage at London’s Wembley Arena, Swift said, “Music has never been ultimately about competition”. Swift also added she feels its an “unimaginable honor” for her to be nominated in the same category as Jackson. The country crooner will be performing at a concert in Wembley Arena on Monday. “I just want to say that music has never been ultimately about competition and to even be mentioned in a category with Michael Jackson who we’ll miss and love forever is an unimaginable honor”, she added. “And I just want to say I’m sending my love to the Jackson family and Janet”. Michael Jackson at American Music Award Jackson won four posthumous including favorite male artist in the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories. “Number Ones”, a hits collection of the Pop Star, was named favorite album in both those categories too. Jermaine, MJ’s brother, accepted the awards on the Late singer’s behalf.  “We love you, Michael. It’s not just about the winnings, the awards, it’s mainly the message. The message that Michael had will live on forever…and he saw good in everyone and he wanted them to do good.  To start with love and let’s love each other”, said Jermaine Jackson. Eminem, who was nominated in 4 categories, went home empty handed. While Jay-Z won the favorite male artist and favorite album in the rap/hip-hop categories, Black Eyed Peas were named favorite group in both the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories. Green Day, the punk rock trio, bagged the favorite alternative artist title. The favorite country group went to Rascal Flatts for the fourth year in a row. Legal documents were released regarding the allowance that Katherine Jackson and Michael Jackson’s children would be receiving while his estate is probated. The documents states that the Estate assets “consist of real and personal property exceeding $500 million.” The family allowance for Michael’s kids, Prince, Paris and Blanket, is $60,000 per month and Katherine Jackson is cleaning up pretty well herself raking in $26,804 a month. That can change in a couple years.

Michael Jackson The unexpected death of the king of pop Michael Jackson has left the whole focus and concern on the murder investigation. Although the main suspect behind the death of the pop star is his personal physician, a Houston based doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, no charges have yet been filed against him. Investigative officers have cited that Dr. Murray advised a lethal mixture of drugs to Jackson in order to help the pop singer come out of his chronic insomnia. It has been revealed recently through a search warrant affidavit in Houston that Jackson’s body contained a mix of sedatives of lethal dose at the time of his death. The Los Angeles medical examiner investigation suggested that none of the drugs alone would have resulted to death of the singer in the amounts administered, but the combination of the drugs certainly did. Dr. Conrad Murray, who administered the drugs to the 50-year-old pop singer, might be charged with involuntary manslaughter. Dr. Murray has not commented anything on this report, which was published by mistake on Monday in Houston. The Dr. has conceded his innocence claiming he did not do anything with an intention otherwise. In a recent statement stated by Dr. Murray he said, “I have done all I could do. I told the truth and I have faith the truth will prevail”.

With Michael Jackson ’s autopsy report due any day now, law enforcement officials confirm to the AP that it was his doctor who administered the drug that ultimately killed him. The official, who requested anonymity, told the Associated Press that Jackson regularly received the powerful anesthetic, propofol, usually to help with falling asleep. Dr. Conrad Murray is believed to have given Michael a dosage of propofol sometime after midnight on June 25th, the day of his death. Last week, Murray’s medical center and storage unit were raided by police, leaving him as the subject of a manslaughter investigation. His lawyer, Edward Chernoff has said Murray “didn’t prescribe or administer anything that should have killed Michael Jackson.” As for the unnamed official’s claims, Murray says, “We will not be commenting on rumors, innuendo or unnamed sources.” While toxicology reports are still pending, they are expected to show that propofol caused Jackson’s heart to stop.
