  Breaking News: Katherine Jackson’s lawyer, L. Londell McMillan, revealed this morning that the mother of Michael Jackson will be getting custody over her son’s three children. McMillan says that a truce has been decided upon between Debbie Rowe and Katherine, in which Katherine obtains full guardianship and Debbie will receive no money. It was agreed upon by the two women that Debbie, as the biological mother of the two eldest children, will be given visitation rights, but in no way was her relinquish of parental rights paid for. McMillian said in an interview on the Early Show this morning: “It’s an agreement, an agreement for the best interests of the children. This is not a money deal. This is not about money. … There is no situation better for these children than for them to be raised and reared in the loving care of Mrs. Katherine Jackson.”

Debbie Rowe, the presumed biological mother of Michael Jackson ’s two oldest children — Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11 — will seek custody of her children with the pop star, she tells Los Angeles TV station NBC 4. “I am stepping up,” she told the station on Thursday. “I have to.” In his 2002 will, Michael Jackson designated his mother, Katherine Jackson, as the guardian of his three children (including youngest son Prince Michael 11 — also known as “Blanket” — whose biological mother is unknown).
