The Queen of Pop and her manager, Guy Oseary have teamed up with Iconix to launch an affordable, juniors line which will be available exclusively at Macy’s beginning in August. Madge isn’t looking very far for her inspiration for the line, appropriately called Material Girl . Her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes is not only the collection’s muse, but has also lent a hand in design aspects. The clothes range in price from $12-$40, and includes skirts, shirts, shoes, jewelry and handbags. Aside from the Material Girl line, Madge and Guy’s collaboration with Iconix will include beauty and fragrance merchandise in 2011. “Joining forces with Iconix to bring my fashion ideas to consumers is very exciting for me,” Madonna said in a statement. “I look forward to working closely with Neil [Cole, CEO and Chairman of Iconix Brand Group] and his team to create and translate my vision and ideas for MG Icon.”

Former CBS producer, Robert “Joe” Halderman, who was accused of trying to blackmail comedian David Letterman , has plead guilty. Halderman was charged with second-degree grand larceny on Tuesday, and will face six months in jail, five years probation and 1,000 hours of community service. “This is a serious sentence that properly reflects the crimes that Mr. Halderman has now admitted that he committed, and it is a fitting end to the case,” Letterman’s lawyer, Daniel J. Horwitz said in a statement. During an episode of The Late Show with David Letterman last October, the host admitted to affairs with female staff members, and revealed the extortion plot against him. Halderman, a CBS employee for 27 years, confessed to trying to extort $2 million from Letterman in exchange for staying quiet about the affairs. “I would like to thank the District Attorney of Manhattan, Cyrus R. Vance Jr., the former District Attorney, Robert M. Morgenthau, the Special Prosecutions Bureau in the D.A.’s Office and the New York City Police Department,” Letterman said in a statement after Tuesday’s hearing.

Hannez claims that back in 1999 he submitted a treatment to Miramax about a character named Ren who witnesses her mother’s murder, specifically the knife through her abdomen, etc. He also claims that he applied for a job at Miramax but “was never given a return phone call, as numerous similar situated less qualified Jewish and White people were bestowed job after job after job.” He wants over a million dollars, saying he was denied royalties in the Kill Bill series.
